OBITUARY
Julie "Jergie" Stier, 58, of 7171 Sedgerock Lane, Colorado Springs passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday October 24th, 2020.
Julie was born June 27th, 1962 and grew up in Stewartville, MN. She attended college at UW-Lacrosse and UW-Stout, where she obtained her degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. Julie and Ken were married November 1st, 1986. Julie gave birth to two daughters (1990 and 1993). The family spent most of their years in Wind Lake, WI before moving to Colorado Springs in 2019.
Loving, kind, fun, determined, positive, loyal, joyful, courageous, faithful, supportive, and thoughtful are only a few words to describe the amazing woman that Julie Stier was. Her passions in life were baking, being a second mom to many, and supporting the youth programs most recently at Plymouth Congregational UCC in Burlington, WI. The Stier family enjoyed adventuring together by participating in camping, skiing, biking, and geocaching.
Julie was wife of Ken, mother to Natalie (Caroline) and Kylie all of Salt Lake City, UT. Daughter of Lavonne & the late Obert Jergenson of Rochester, MN, Daughter in law to the late Butch & Audrey Stier of West Bend, WI. Sister to Michael (Lori) Jergenson. Sister-in-law to Sharon and Laurie (Ron) O’Farrell. Aunt to Heather and Stefanie Jergenson, and Ryan, Donovan and Caitlin O’Farrell. Fierce friend to hundreds and a loyal dog mom to her huskies.
Thank you to the cancer treatment staffs at ProHealth’s D.N. Greenwald Center in Mukwonago, WI, UC Health’s Memorial Hospital, and Compassus Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO for all the compassionate and heartfelt care provided to Julie.
Public outdoor visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 14 Noon – 3:00 pm at Randle Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 South Grand Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin with a private memorial service to follow. Memorial service will be live streamed via Facebook Live via the UCCBurlingtonWI Facebook page. Like the page for notifications. A recording of the memorial service will also be available on the Randle Dable Brisk website following the service.
